UF’s Master’s of Public Health Program has excellent flexibility. It requires 48 credits to earn the degree, but gives students anywhere from 2 to 7 years to complete those credits. Students can take a semester off without fear of being penalized. UF’s program is entirely online and lectures are can be played on demand. All students complete an integrative internship and have the opportunity to interact with other students and faculty on campus, if they’re able to. Tuition for the online MPH program at current rates is $28,100. This program comes in two concentrations: Public Health Practice and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
UF’s online MPH Program is a 48-credit course of study that was created for distance students that can’t sign up for a more traditional, full-time program. This program offers all of the same design features of its on-campus equivalent, and requires campus visits. Courses are offered on a semester schedule, and students must hit weekly due dates (which run on Eastern Time). However, lectures are prerecorded and can be streamed whenever students have time to view them. Students take tests in this program through an online proctoring service. This program has been set up to fulfill the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH) accreditation criteria, and UF’s mission, goals and objectives.
All UF online MPH students complete five core public health courses in Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Public Health Management and Policy, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. All students also take 1 credit of Seminar in Contemporary Public Health Issues and 5 credits in a Public Health Internship. Other courses outside of the core curriculum are determined by the concentration a student has chosen.
